The Miracle is Queen's thirteenth studio album, originally released in 1989. Recording began in January 1988 and took around a year; from this album on, the band credited all songs collectively to Queen rather than to individual members. Led by the single I Want It All — a UK top 3 hit — the album also holds Breakthru, The Invisible Man, Scandal and the title track. The sound is direct and rock-driven, with heavy guitars set against the synthesizers that colour its late-1980s production.
