Democratic National Convention 2000 captures the protest performance Rage Against the Machine gave on 14 August 2000 outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, during the Democratic Convention at which Al Gore was nominated. The performance was a protest against the American two-party system. The band played six songs: Bulls on Parade, Testify, Guerrilla Radio, Sleep Now in the Fire, Freedom and Killing in the Name. The concert fell in the period around the album The Battle of Los Angeles (1999), shortly before singer Zack de la Rocha's departure in October 2000. The recording was first released in 2018.
