In September 1975 the band cut these demos, shortly before Sire Records signed them. The thirteen songs are largely the ones that turned up on the debut album half a year later, but rougher here: few overdubs, Tommy Ramone still on drums, and tempos even faster than on the album that followed. Alongside "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend", "53rd & 3rd", and "Chain Saw" sit "I Can't Be" and "I Don't Wanna Be Learned / I Don't Wanna Be Tamed", songs the band barely played afterwards. The recordings appeared as a standalone release for Record Store Day in 2024. This edition is an LP on clear vinyl with black splatter.
