Randy Newman, who wrote the music for every previous Toy Story film, also composed the score for Toy Story 5, the 2026 Pixar film in which Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie come up against Lilypad, a tablet with her own ideas about what is best for Bonnie. The soundtrack album opens with I Knew It, I Knew You, an original song Taylor Swift co-wrote with Jack Antonoff. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the first Disney track ever to do so. It is followed by 26 score cues from Newman, from Tech Boom and Smarty Pants to Happy Landing.
