Their Satanic Majesties Request, originally released in 1967, is the most psychedelic studio album by The Rolling Stones, made in the wake of the studio experimentation of those years. Amid its mellotrons, strings and sound collages, 'She's a Rainbow' and '2000 Light Years from Home' became two of the best-known songs from this era. It is the only album the band produced entirely on their own.
