Masquerade originally appeared in 1995 as the ninth studio album by Running Wild. The lyrics move away from the sea stories and revolve around a struggle between good and evil, with the devil as a recurring figure in "The Contract / The Crypts of Hades", "Demonized", and "Black Soul". Musically the band sticks to twin guitar harmonies and singalong choruses, with "Metalhead" and "Soleil Royal" as the best known tracks. This edition is a 2-LP, remastered.
