Raum came out in 2022 on Kscope and was the second studio album Tangerine Dream made after the death of founder Edgar Froese in 2015. The line-up of Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane and Paul Frick worked in part from unfinished ideas Froese had left behind and added new material of their own. The album moves between tight sequencer pieces such as In 256 Zeichen and longer, more floating passages such as Continuum and the title track, with Yamane's violin as a recurring element.
