The Pet Sounds Sessions Highlights gathers 25 recordings from the studio sessions for Pet Sounds, drawn from the four-CD box The Pet Sounds Sessions from 1997. It offers vocals without backing, instrumental takes, alternate mixes and fragments from the recording days themselves, from Wouldn't It Be Nice and God Only Knows to Caroline, No and Good Vibrations. The set appeared on 15 May 2026 through Capitol/UMe around the sixtieth anniversary of Pet Sounds, with new liner notes by Beach Boys historian Howie Edelson and a detailed sessionography. It is material for anyone who wants to hear how Brian Wilson worked towards the final mix, voice by voice.
