Echoes of Silence is The Weeknd's third mixtape and originally appeared in December 2011, closing the series that began with House of Balloons and Thursday. The three tapes were later bundled as Trilogy. The sound is stripped back and reverb-heavy, leaving plenty of room for Abel Tesfaye's falsetto. Opening track 'D.D.' is a cover of Michael Jackson's 'Dirty Diana'. Songs such as 'Montreal', 'XO / The Host' and the title track sketch the comedown after the nightlife of the first two tapes.

This edition is a 2-LP in a gatefold sleeve.
