American Assault originally came out in 1985 on Combat Records, a souvenir tied to Venom's American tour. The EP pairs studio material from the At War with Satan period, Rip Ride, Bursting Out and Dead of the Night, with three live recordings: Seven Gates of Hell, Countess Bathory and Welcome To Hell. Of the six Assault titles this was one of the few the band itself sanctioned, most of the others appeared under licence. This edition is a 12-inch on red vinyl with blue splatter.
