German Assault belongs to the Assault series, the run of EPs Venom released country by country in the eighties, each gathering singles, B-sides and album tracks. Alongside Black Metal, Witching Hour, Nightmare and Buried Alive, this edition carries a radio interview with the band, recorded for Metro Radio in Newcastle by presenter Alan Robson. That recording makes the EP as much a document of its moment as a music release. It appeared under licence from Neat Records. This edition is a 12-inch on yellow vinyl with red splatter.
