The Asylum Albums (1976-1980) bundelt de studio- en livealbums die Joni Mitchell in de tweede helft van de jaren zeventig voor Asylum Records maakte. De box brengt 'Hejira' (1976), 'Don Juan's Reckless Daughter' (1977), het met Charles Mingus opgenomen 'Mingus' (1979) en het livealbum 'Shadows and Light' (1980) samen. Het is de periode waarin ze folk vrijwel losliet en zich volledig naar de jazz bewoog. De albums zijn hier geremasterd bijeengebracht.
