The Collection II bundelt de vier studioalbums die Van Halen met zanger Sammy Hagar maakte: 5150 (1986), OU812 (1988), For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge (1991) en Balance (1995). Al deze albums bereikten destijds de nummer 1-positie in de Amerikaanse albumlijst. De verzameling wordt aangevuld met studiorariteiten uit de periode 1989-2004, waaronder de Twister-nummers Humans Being en Respect the Wind, de b-kant Crossing Over, de Little Feat-cover A Apolitical Blues en het instrumentale Baluchitherium. Ook zijn drie nummers opgenomen uit de tijdelijke hereniging met Hagar in 2004.
Deze uitgave is een boxset met 5 lp's op 180-grams vinyl, in een gelimiteerde oplage.
