'Stupid Song' comes from You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, Olivia Rodrigo's third studio album, and was released as its third single alongside the album. Rodrigo wrote the song with producer Dan Nigro, inspired by Annie Ernaux's novel Simple Passion about an all-consuming infatuation. It opens as a hushed piano ballad before tipping into midtempo synth rock. The single reached number 1 in Australia, Ireland and New Zealand, among others, and peaked at number 7 on the Dutch Single Top 100. The B-side holds a piano version of the song.

This edition is a 7-inch single on pink vinyl.
