The Main Point, Live 1972 captures a solo performance by Ry Cooder, given on 19 November 1972 at The Main Point in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The concert took place in the year Into the Purple Valley and Boomer's Story were released. The repertoire consists of blues, gospel and folk songs, including Vigilante Man, Police Dog Blues, F.D.R. in Trinidad and Jesus on the Mainline. The recording remained unreleased for more than fifty years and came out in 2025 as the first archival release from Warner's vaults.
