Eleven Bob Dylan songs sung by Bryan Ferry: that is the idea behind Dylanesque, which originally came out in 2007. Ferry had already opened his 1973 solo debut These Foolish Things with A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall, and here he stretched that preference into a full album, from The Times They Are A-Changin' and Knockin' on Heaven's Door to All Along the Watchtower. The arrangements stay close to a straightforward rock band line-up, which keeps the attention on the lyrics and on Ferry's phrasing. Make You Feel My Love is here too, one of Dylan's most covered later songs.
