Rio, originally released in 1982, is the album that broke Duran Duran worldwide. The title track, 'Hungry Like the Wolf' and 'Save a Prayer' became MTV staples thanks to their cinematic videos and remain the band's best-known songs. Producer Colin Thurston tied John Taylor's funky basslines, Nick Rhodes' synthesizers and Simon Le Bon's vocals into a glossy new wave pop sound. Alongside the hits sit album tracks such as 'The Chauffeur' and 'New Religion'. This edition is an LP on black vinyl.
