In October 1971 Pink Floyd spent four days playing in the empty Roman amphitheatre at Pompeii, without an audience, for director Adrian Maben's concert film. The band brought material from the Ummagumma and Meddle period: "Echoes" in two parts, "A Saucerful of Secrets", "Careful with That Axe, Eugene", "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" and "One of These Days", plus the blues piece "Mademoiselle Nobs", in which a howling dog answers the harmonica. For the 2025 release the film was restored in 4K from the original 35mm footage and Steven Wilson remixed the sound in stereo, 5.1 and Dolby Atmos. The audio version includes two bonus tracks: an alternate take of "Careful with That Axe, Eugene" and an unedited "A Saucerful of Secrets". This edition is a Blu-ray carrying both the 85-minute feature film and the 60-minute concert cut.
