The One was the first studio album Elton John originally released in the 1990s, in 1992, shortly after getting sober. The title track became a major hit, while guests such as Eric Clapton and David Gilmour handled guitar work. The closing 'The Last Song' deals candidly with dying of AIDS. It became John's best-selling studio album since Captain Fantastic in 1975.
