Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) was originally released in 1993 as the debut album of New York's Wu-Tang Clan. The nine-member group, including RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and Ol' Dirty Bastard, brought a raw production style built on samples from kung-fu films and soul records. The album included classics such as "C.R.E.A.M.", "Protect Ya Neck" and "Method Man". RZA produced nearly the entire album, laying the foundation for the group's signature sound. The album is widely regarded as one of the most influential releases in hip-hop history and led to individual solo deals for its members. Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) helped shape the rise of East Coast hip-hop in the 1990s.
