In 1973 Jethro Tull travelled to the Château d'Hérouville near Paris to record a double album there. The sessions bogged down in technical trouble and illness in the band, the tapes disappeared into the archive under the nickname the Château d'Isaster Tapes, and the group returned to England to make A Passion Play instead. Parts of the material surfaced later: 'Skating Away on the Thin Ice of the New Day' and 'Only Solitaire' were re-recorded for War Child, and the story of the hare who lost his spectacles ended up on A Passion Play. This collection lines the sessions up in a stereo remix, together with the older mixes from 1974 and 1988. This edition is a 2-LP.
