Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix played electric guitar like no one before him, using feedback, wah-wah and a wall of Marshall amplifiers as part of the instrument. Between 1966 and 1970 he recorded three studio albums with The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love and Electric Ladyland, and his performances at Monterey and Woodstock fixed the image of the rock guitarist for good. After his death in September 1970, at the age of 27, the material he was still working on appeared on The Cry of Love and later on First Rays of the New Rising Sun. Experience Hendrix has looked after the archive ever since, releasing concert recordings and studio sessions at a steady pace.

This collection brings together Jimi Hendrix on vinyl, LP and CD: the posthumous studio albums, official live and archive releases from the Dagger and Experience Hendrix series, and individual titles from his short career.
