Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin existed from 1968 to 1980: guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham. The band turned British blues into heavy, riff-driven rock, running folk, Eastern scales and acoustic work through it. The untitled fourth album from 1971, with Stairway to Heaven, became one of the best-selling albums of all time; Rolling Stone placed it at number 58 on its 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Around it stand the blues-driven debut, the riff album Led Zeppelin II, the acoustically tinted III, the double album Physical Graffiti and the keyboard-led In Through the Out Door. When John Bonham died in September 1980 the band came to an end; leftover recordings appeared in 1982 as Coda.
