Kurt Cobain died a week before Live Through This reached the shops, and the attention that followed clung to Hole's second studio album for years. The music itself mainly shows how Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson traded the rough edges of their debut for shorter, biting songs with refrains that stick: "Violet", "Miss World", "Doll Parts" and "Softer, Softest". The album was originally released in April 1994 on DGC Records. Rolling Stone placed it at number 106 in the 2020 edition of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

This edition is an LP on clear vinyl (Pop Bottle Clear), the RSD Essentials edition.
