On Under Wraps Ian Anderson set the flute and the acoustic sound largely aside in favour of synthesizers and a drum machine. Originally released in 1984, it is the most electronic record Jethro Tull made, with Anderson, Martin Barre, keyboard player Peter-John Vettese and bassist Dave Pegg. The lyrics revolve around espionage and secrecy, from 'Saboteur' and 'Radio Free Moscow' to the restrained 'Under Wraps #2'. The single 'Lap of Luxury' came with a video that did well on MTV. For this reissue Bruce Soord remixed the album in 2026 and replaced the programmed rhythms with real drums. This edition is an LP, with a twelve-page booklet.
