Labour of Love is the covers album with which UB40 honoured the reggae of their youth in 1983: the Birmingham band reworked classics from Jamaican music in their own style. The best-known version is Red Red Wine, which reached number 1 in Britain and years later also topped the American chart. Please Don't Make Me Cry and Cherry Oh Baby also belong to the album's staples, the first instalment of a series the band later continued. This edition is an LP on red vinyl.
