Reload is the seventh studio album by Metallica, released on 18 November 1997. The record came out of the same sessions as the preceding Load and continues its more bluesy, hard rock oriented direction. It features the single The Memory Remains with guest singer Marianne Faithfull, and The Unforgiven II as a sequel to The Unforgiven. It was the last studio album with bassist Jason Newsted. Reload debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200.
