Bomber is Motörhead's third studio album, originally released in 1979. It was made by the classic line-up of Lemmy Kilmister (bass, vocals), 'Fast' Eddie Clarke (guitar) and Phil 'Philthy Animal' Taylor (drums), produced by Jimmy Miller, who had previously worked with The Rolling Stones. The title refers to the war novel of the same name by Len Deighton, which Lemmy was reading during the sessions. With the title track and songs such as 'Dead Men Tell No Tales' and 'Stone Dead Forever', the band confirmed its raw mix of rock 'n' roll, punk and heavy metal. The album reached number twelve on the UK albums chart.
This edition is a 3-LP on black vinyl, released as a 40th-anniversary deluxe edition featuring a 1979 live concert from Le Mans.
