Before and After appeared in 2023 and gathered solo acoustic re-recordings of songs from across Young's career, along with the previously unreleased 'If You Got Love'. The recordings were made during his Coastal Tour that year and edited together into one continuous performance of about three quarters of an hour, meant to be heard as a whole. Young played the instruments himself, including guitar, piano, pump organ and harmonica.
