'The Perfect Kiss' originally appeared in 1985 as a 12-inch single alongside the album Low-Life, in a version running close to nine minutes — considerably longer than the album cut, with more room for the sequencer line, the sampled frogs and sheep and Peter Hook's bass loop. The B-side holds the instrumental 'The Kiss of Death' and 'Perfect Pit'. Jonathan Demme filmed the song that same year as a video in which the band play it live in the studio. This edition is a 12-inch single on clear vinyl, a limited pressing in a mirror sleeve based on a design Peter Saville already had in mind back in 1985.
