While The Beatles were breaking up, Paul McCartney recorded an album at his London home and his Scottish farm on which he sang and played every instrument himself. The result is deliberately unpolished: finished songs such as "Maybe I'm Amazed", "Every Night" and "Junk" sit next to short instrumental sketches and loose fragments. It originally came out in April 1970, just before he announced he was leaving the band, and became the starting point of his solo work.
