Discography originally appeared in 1991 as the first Pet Shop Boys compilation, gathering every single from 1985 to 1991, from "West End Girls" and "Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money)" to "Being Boring" and the U2 medley "Where the Streets Have No Name (I Can't Take My Eyes Off You)". Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe recorded two new songs for the occasion: "DJ Culture", produced with Brothers in Rhythm, and "Was It Worth It?". Played back to back, the run shows how the duo moved in six years from cool electro-disco towards widescreen pop with strings and choir. The compilation reached number three on the UK album chart.
