Pet Shop Boys
Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe started Pet Shop Boys in 1981, after a chance meeting in a London electronics shop. In 1986 "West End Girls" topped the charts in both the UK and the United States, and a run of albums followed that tied synth-pop and disco to dry British irony: Please, Actually with "It's a Sin", the extended dance mixes of Introspective and the subdued Behaviour. Very and Bilingual brought them back to the charts in the nineties, after which they worked with producers such as Trevor Horn on Fundamental, Xenomania on Yes and Stuart Price on Electric, Super and Hotspot. Nonetheless, released in 2024, is their fifteenth studio album. Guinness World Records lists them as the most successful duo in UK music history.
This collection brings together Pet Shop Boys on vinyl, LP and CD: reissues of the studio albums from the eighties and nineties, the singles compilations and more recent work.
