Script for a Jester's Tear is Marillion's debut album, originally released in 1983. It became a flagship for neo-progressive rock, the early-eighties revival of the symphonic rock of the early seventies. Singer Fish delivered the lyrics with a theatrical, poetic style. The album consists of six long tracks. The title song deals with a love affair gone wrong, while Forgotten Sons takes the unrest in Northern Ireland as its subject. The singles Garden Party and He Knows You Know brought the album to a wider audience. Script for a Jester's Tear reached the top 10 of the UK Album Chart. This edition is a picture disc LP.
