Drones is a concept album about a soldier drilled into becoming a human drone: brainwashing, obedience and drone warfare run through it. For this seventh studio album Muse worked with producer Robert John 'Mutt' Lange and deliberately stripped back to guitar, bass and drums, with 'Dead Inside', 'Psycho' and 'Mercy' as singles and the ten-minute 'The Globalist' at its centre. The album came out in 2015, reached number one in both the United Kingdom and the United States and won the Grammy for Best Rock Album.
