The Sessions IV is a live album by Tangerine Dream, originally released in 2018. The record consists of pieces composed live in real time by the line-up of Thorsten Quaeschning, Ulrich Schnauss and Hoshiko Yamane, recorded during concerts in 2018. It is the fourth instalment in the Sessions series, in which the band captures the improvised, electronic side of their work in the tradition of their early Berlin School sound. With more than 80 minutes of music, the album offers an expansive journey through floating synthesizer landscapes and pulsing sequences.
