Yellow Submarine was originally released in 1969 as the soundtrack to the animated film of the same name. Side A gathers six Beatles songs, including the title track, "Hey Bulldog" and "All You Need Is Love"; several of them were new to this album. Side B consists entirely of the orchestral film score that George Martin wrote and conducted. That gives the record an unusual place in the catalogue: half pop album, half instrumental score. This release is an LP.
