The Soft Parade was the fourth studio album by the American band The Doors, originally released in 1969 on Elektra Records. The album was produced by Paul A. Rothchild and was the band's first album to feature orchestral arrangements with strings and horns. Singles such as "Touch Me" and "Wishful Sinful" featured this broader instrumentation and found success on the American charts. "Touch Me" reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The lineup consisted of Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore. The album marked a musical shift from the band's earlier, more blues-oriented albums.
