It's Hard originally appeared in 1982 and became The Who's last studio album with John Entwistle, as well as the last with Kenney Jones on drums. 'Eminence Front', with Townshend himself singing over a pulsing keyboard figure, is the track that stuck; the album also holds the single 'Athena' and Entwistle's 'Dangerous'. The band went straight out on a North American tour with it and then stayed quiet for years. This 40th anniversary edition was half-speed mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road and carries four previously unreleased recordings on the fourth side, among them a version of 'Eminence Front' with Roger Daltrey on lead vocal. This edition is a 2-LP on Orange & Yellow, issued for Record Store Day.
