Van Halen II is the second studio album by the American hard rock band Van Halen and originally came out in March 1979. The line-up was guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, singer David Lee Roth and bassist Michael Anthony. The album produced the hit single Dance the Night Away and also features a version of You're No Good and the acoustic guitar piece Spanish Fly. Ted Templeman again oversaw the sessions, which followed close on the debut.
