Anderson .Paak and Cordae first teamed up on RNP, a J. Cole-produced track from Cordae's 2019 debut The Lost Boy. On Heavy Is the Crown they make a full album together, with brotherhood as the thread; the cover nods to the comedy Step Brothers. J. Cole, 9th Wonder, Conductor Williams and Swizz Beatz are among the contributors. It was released on 23 October 2026 through APESHIT, Mass Appeal and EMPIRE.

This edition is an LP.
