Burning Bridges was Arch Enemy's third studio album and the last with Johan Liiva on vocals. It originally came out in 1999 and, like its predecessors, was recorded at Studio Fredman with Fredrik Nordström. The eight tracks put the twin guitar lines of Michael and Christopher Amott front and centre, with "The Immortal" and "Silverwing" as the most openly melodic moments and the title track closing things out.
