Heaven and Hell was originally released in 1980 and marked a new chapter for Black Sabbath: Ronnie James Dio replaced Ozzy Osbourne on vocals. Dio's melodic, powerful voice and imaginative lyrics gave the band a more epic, traditional heavy metal sound. With 'Neon Knights', 'Children of the Sea', the title track and 'Die Young', the line-up around Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Dio delivered an album that ushered in the Dio era and gave the group a second wind.
