Technical Ecstasy was originally released in 1976 as the seventh studio album by Black Sabbath, with the line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward. The album showed a broader sound than previous albums, with keyboards, synthesizers and strings alongside the guitars. Bill Ward took lead vocals on the ballad It's Alright. The album also featured tracks such as Back Street Kids, Gypsy and Dirty Women. Production was handled by Tony Iommi. The cover, designed by Hipgnosis, showed two robots on an escalator.
