David Live is David Bowie's first official live album, originally released in 1974 through RCA. The recordings were made in July 1974 at the Tower Theater in Philadelphia during the Diamond Dogs tour. The album captures Bowie in a theatrical, soul-tinged phase: songs from Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane and Diamond Dogs are performed by a large band with horns and backing vocals. This release features the 2005 mix by producer Tony Visconti, who rebalanced the sound and added several extra tracks. This edition is a 3-LP on black vinyl.
