Let's Dance was originally released in 1983 and became the best-selling album of David Bowie's career. He recorded it with Nile Rodgers of Chic as producer, giving it a sleek, danceable funk and pop sound; the then largely unknown guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan plays on several tracks. The title track became a number-one hit in both the United Kingdom and the United States, while "China Girl" and "Modern Love" also grew into major singles.
