By 1983 De Dijk was already playing the mixture that would become the band's trademark: Huub van der Lubbe's Amsterdam lyrics over a base of soul, blues and rhythm and blues. Nooit meer Tarzan, originally from that year, is an early studio album and delivers Hunker, Slow Motion and Jukebox Blues alongside the title track. The recordings sound rawer and more direct than the later work, with horns that push rather than decorate. This edition is an LP on yellow.
