Cabin in the Sky is De La Soul's ninth studio album and the first since the death of Trugoy the Dove in February 2023; it carries recordings he had already laid down. The album arrived in November 2025 as part of Mass Appeal's Legend Has It... series. Posdnuos and Maseo bring in guests including Nas, Q-Tip, Common, Black Thought, Killer Mike, and Yukimi of Little Dragon, over beats from DJ Premier, Pete Rock, and Supa Dave West, among others. The lyrics deal with grief, growing older, and carrying on without the group's third voice.
