Heaven Up Here was the second studio album by Echo & the Bunnymen and first appeared in 1981. It sounded darker and rawer than Crocodiles, with long atmospheric songs driven by propulsive bass and drums. The single A Promise represented the album, alongside tracks such as Over the Wall and All My Colours. The lyrics were brooding and introspective. Heaven Up Here reached the UK top 10, the band's highest chart position at the time.
