Elton John originally recorded Breaking Hearts in 1984 with his classic backing band — guitarist Davey Johnstone, bassist Dee Murray and drummer Nigel Olsson — largely at AIR Studios on Montserrat. Its biggest hit was 'Sad Songs (Say So Much)', alongside straight-ahead rockers like 'Restless' and 'Who Wears These Shoes?'.
